Piper Meridian Aircraft Training

Known as the “M Class” Pipers, the M350, M500, M600, M700, Matrix, Malibu, Mirage and Meridian are the flagship aircraft of the Piper fleet and are widely considered the pinnacle of performance for single-engine, owner-flown aircraft because they are reliable, comfortable and can travel at high speeds.

If you are looking to become a safer and more confident pilot in a PA46 aircraft, then RWR Pilot Training is for you. Under the tutelage of accredited Master Instructor Dick Rochfort, you will receive efficient, type-specific and insurance-approved training for pilots of the Piper PA46 Matrix, Malibu, Mirage and Meridian aircraft.

You will learn tactical and practical piloting techniques that utilize checklists, flows, memory items and standard operating procedures (SOPs) developed specifically for you and your PA46 aircraft. You will experience first-class, proven training methods that take advantage of dedicated PA46 procedures and the latest technology to make a practical difference in your level of safety, confidence and comfort.

Dick Rochfort offers a variety of fully insured and approved initial training programs designed to suit novice and experienced PA46 pilots alike including initial pilot training for flying the turboprop-powered Meridian aircraft. The standard Meridian program is up to 40 hours over five consecutive days. The piston training program introduces the pilot to the Matrix, Malibu and Mirage aircraft, and it consists of up to 30 hours over four consecutive days. All programs are performance-based. They presume the pilot is rated and current for instrument flight, have at least 500 hours of pilot in command (PIC) time in high-performance aircraft and have reviewed the aircraft flight manual (AFM), although this is not a prerequisite.

Pilots new to PA46 aircraft are often asked by their insurance underwriter to receive additional dual flight instruction called initial operating experience (IOE) from an approved instructor beyond what is normally given in a standard training program. RWR Pilot Training offers this supplemental training which includes flight planning, weather briefing, pre-flight and post-flight inspections, classroom sessions and impromptu briefings as required up to eight hours per day.

For pilots coming back for more, Dick Rochfort and RWR Pilot Training also offer one-day and two-day recurrent pilot training.

The one-day  recurrent program is offered to pilots who have attended approved training within the last six months or continuing customers who meet specific performance and experience standards. Discounts are offered for multiple pilots training together in all programs.
